Time Inc’s Video Group under Gerry Levin relaunched Time Life Films as a theatrical movie company, alongside HBO and Cinemax, to produce major motion pictures. Led by Austin Furst, TLF released three major pictures in 1980-1981.  Its subsidiaries Time Life Television and Time Life Video were more diversified and successful. 


Monica was appointed Business Manager in 1980 of this new business entity of Time Inc, its entry into theatrical movie making. HBO was then the leading presenter of movies on TV.  Three major motion pictures were released in quick succession. 




They All Laughed 

They All Laughed is a 1981 American romantic comedy film directed by Peter Bogdanovich and starring Audrey Hepburn, Ben Gazzara, John Ritter, Colleen Camp, Patti Hansen, and Dorothy Stratten. The film was based on a screenplay by Bogdanovich and Blaine Novak, taking its name from the George and Ira Gershwin song.


Monica was Manager of Financial Analysis in 1980-82 for Time Life Films, the producer of this major motion picture.



Fort Apache, the Bronx 

Fort Apache, The Bronx is a 1981 American crime drama film directed by Daniel Petrie. Set in the Bronx at its nadir, Paul Newman is Murphy, a hard-drinking, lonely veteran cop, who with his young partner Corelli work in this crime-ridden, dangerous precinct. Also starring Ken Wahl.


Monica was Manager of Financial Analysis of Time Life Films.

Loving Couples 

Loving Couples a 1980 American romantic comedy film written by Martin Donovan and directed by Jack Smight puts a comic spin on adultery. It stars Shirley MacLaine, James Coburn, Susan Sarandon and Stephen Collins.

When Greg crashes his sports car, doctor Evelyn comes to his rescue, and the two soon are engaged in an affair. Evelyn's workaholic husband learns about it from Greg's live-in girlfriend, scatterbrained television weather girl Stephanie, and the two start a dalliance of their own. Complications increase when the two couples plan a clandestine weekend getaway at the same Acapulco resort.
